B&W Halls

Two halls built to assemble ships — one of them held 11,000 people for Eurovision 2014.

Burmeister & Wain raised these two vast halls in the early 1960s to build ships; the last one rolled out in 1996. That raw industrial volume — on the island of Refshaleøen — is now a live-events complex. The scale is real: no retrofit trickery, just a shipyard that changed jobs.

What to look for

Located on Refshaleøen island — check current event listings before visiting, as the complex operates around scheduled programming.
