A 1961 residential block that never became purely residential — around 4,000 people live among curry houses, African bistros, sari stores, and foreign-exchange counters. The stalls serve wholesalers shipping goods to Africa and South Asia, drawing Indians, Nepalis, Pakistanis, Nigerians, and Middle Eastern traders into one compressed address. The atmosphere is compared to the former Kowloon Walled City.

What to look for

MTR Tsim Sha Tsui and East Tsim Sha Tsui station entrances surround the building; the Star Ferry is a ten-minute walk away.
