What to look for
- Museum Mile between 82nd and 110th Streets, home to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Frick Collection, and the Guggenheim
- The 59th-to-96th-Street stretch along Central Park once known as "Millionaire's Row" for its mansions
- Marcus Garvey Park, which interrupts the avenue from 124th to 120th Streets and splits the traffic around it
Most of the avenue runs one-way southbound, and it closes to cars on several Sundays each year — don't count on driving it.
