Three waterfront gardens — Bay South (54 ha, designed by Grant Associates), Bay Central, and Bay East — ring the Marina Reservoir. The scale is real: 50 million visits by 2018, and TripAdvisor's 2024 awards ranked it the top attraction in Asia and eighth in the world.

What to look for

Bay Central's 3-kilometre waterfront promenade links Bay South and Bay East — walk it to move between the two main gardens without retracing steps.

Gardens by the Bay is one of 30 sights worth the detour in Singapore, all bundled offline in Voyage GO — download the Singapore pack and it sits on your map with no signal, filling your travel passport the moment you walk past.
