BC Place

A stadium that broke the same world record twice — first with the largest air-supported roof ever built, then with the largest cable-supported retractable roof.

Coming soon on iOS — be first to walk Vancouver offline.

Built for Expo 86 and opened in 1983, BC Place anchored the 2010 Winter Olympics, hosted the 2015 Women's World Cup final, and is set for 2026 FIFA World Cup knockout matches. Three separate eras of global sport, one building on False Creek's north shore.

What to look for

BC Lions (CFL) and Vancouver Whitecaps FC (MLS) both play here; check schedules before you go — the stadium is in regular use.

BC Place is one of 13 sights worth the detour in Vancouver, all bundled offline in Voyage GO — download the Vancouver pack and it sits on your map with no signal, filling your travel passport the moment you walk past.
